Granite Gems in Texas

Enchanted Rock is a full scale granite playground. Hundreds of people flock to this destination mainly to camp, picnic & hike the summit trail to the top of the main dome. Climbers will discover amazing crack climbing, often free solo’d, surrounded by beautifully sculpted granite boulders. This area could almost be described as a Texas version of a small-scale Joshua Tree, but unfortunately the rock quality is sub-par. However, the lines that are good- are REALLY good; and stand out as true gems in the state of Texas. I feel truly grateful to have visited and climbed in this area. These are photos from a recent Saturday spent with friends climbing, filming, and hiking on these enchanted rocks.
